Heat questions
Plain answers about how Heat picks work here. Every pick, price and result on this page comes from the ledger, never from this section.
What does the model do on a Heat game day?
It prices the markets it covers on that game, publishes only the ones that clear its threshold and holds the rest. The decision shows at the top of this page under "Today's Heat game", and in full on that day's pairing page.
Why is there no Heat pick some days?
Because passing is a decision, not a gap. A market the model prices and leaves alone is one it looked at and did not like at the number. The day's pairing page says which markets were priced, which cleared and which were held, so a quiet day is still a readable one.
How do I get the Heat pick before the game starts?
When the free pick of the day is a Heat game, register and it is yours by email and on your picks page. Every other published pick is for members. Nothing here shows a side or a price before the game is graded; after grading, every pick is public in the table above.
Where do the Heat numbers on this page come from?
From the same ledger as the full track record: every published pick, graded from the final score and never edited afterwards. "In Heat games" means home and away games alike, whichever side the pick was on, so the record here is the model's record, not the team's.
Do these pages cover every Heat game?
Every game the model priced. A pairing page exists for each opponent Heat have met this season, and it collects every meeting of that pairing in one place, so a page you bookmark early in the season is still the right page at the end of it.
